"I loved all the gorgeous Water images this week. There were so many good ones, I almost had to close my eyes and point to pick my top 10". -Sarah Week 7.23.14 through 7.29.14 Theme: Water Other favorites this week

Here is what Jana had to say about her chosen theme: "I am so happy that you all enjoyed the "Swing" theme so much! I have to say that I was stalking this page and was looking at your awesome submissions with such a pleasure! However it was so hard to pick only 10 images, I had the winner in mind the moment I saw this image and you all see why. It is just so fantastically flawed and beautiful! Congratulations Chantal VanDen Dool Fotografie, and congratulations to the top ten, you rocked the swing theme!" We nourish ourselves there. We play there, create, work, learn, and entertain there. Important conversations take place there. The kitchen table is a place where memories are made. It is often rich with history. Thank you all for sharing your photographs, your families, and your stories. xo, Heather Robinson Photography Week 7.9.14 through 7.15.14 Spotlight Artist and Top 10 Theme: "Kitchen Table" Other Favorites
"Us sing and dance, make faces and give flower bouquets, trying to be loved. You ever notice that trees do everything to git attention we do, except walk?" ~Alice Walker, The Color Purple Week 7.2.14 through 7.8.14 Spotlight Artist and Top 10 Theme: "Tree" Other Favorites Moments by Madril Congrats to all of the photographers who were featured this week. And a warm thank you to every photographer who submitted a tree image. I loved looking at each and every photograph. xo, Heather I am overjoyed by the multitude of people who took part in this week's challenge. And I couldn't be happier with Melissa's picks and her absolute dedication leaving thoughtful comments on each and every entry. When I thanked her for spending the time really looking at and writing about each photograph, this is what she had to say. "They truly made me smile. And I found it so interesting to look at them as just a viewer and not as part of the competition. I really enjoyed finding the beauty in each one. SO, I found it incredibly hard to narrow it down. I looked at them over and over again. I was really looking for the images that made me feel what the subject was feeling and also had "flaws" that were not flaws at all but just enhanced the images even more. I chose Charlene Hardy's image of the dancer as the spotlight artist. It was just incredibly beautiful to me. Such a simple portrait, but with so much emotion emanating from it. The movement, stunning black and white edit, slight blurs of the hands and feet, and the truly carefree feeling it evoked made this image and Charlene the spotlight artist for me. I just adore it."
