Fantastically Flawed has come together with Distorted Beauty to create The Imperfectionists. This is a place to celebrate technically flawed photography, emotionally wrought images, and alternative ways of shooting. Being an impfectionist means shooting with your heart, letting go, breaking free of rules, experimenting, growing, sharing, and creating art out of your everyday.
There are many intentional ways of bringing beautiful distortion into your photography, such as the use of Lensbaby lenses, freelensing, prisming, and more. For most people however, their first love of imperfect images begins to take root much more simply. It is with a single photograph. One loved in their mind when they clicked the shutter. One they imagined would be perfect. The perfect reflection of a perfect moment. Then, it spills off of their camera onto their screen and they see it. Or rather they see the flaws. A perfect moment gone. There may be motion blur, blown highlights, awkward composition, missed focus, grain....still there is the love of the moment there.

Beauty.
Life is flawed, life is imperfect, life is beautiful. The Imperfectionists see real life, real moments, and real emotions in imperfect photography. We believe capturing and crafting these "flaws" is what breathes art into photography.
