It possesses me This deep hunger for darkness Wields me to create. ~Sharon Covert Sharon Covert Photography week 2.18.15 through 2.24.15 'darkness' This image is everything I had in mind when I chose {Darkness} as the theme. Letting go of fears and embracing the darkness can produce some of the most stunning and intriguing imagery and this image by Marlize is no exception. There is so much beauty to be found in {Darkness}. It was really difficult to narrow it down to 10! Here are the top 10 images I chose.

I am constantly blown away by the talent in this group. It's uplifting to see such beautiful fine art each week. Well done to all! - Sarah Landa Photography week 2.11.15 through 2.17.15 'obscure' And the spotlight artist is Carla Mae Photography. I love this image, it evokes Francesca Woodman for me. Dark, Eerie, Amazing! Thank you to Candy Kempsey of Essential Life Photography for choosing one of my favorite themes to date, RED. Red can be associated with so many feelings, emotions, symbolism, usually all of them with intensity or passion. It was delightful to see all of these interpretations in our weekly submission with the use of this powerful color. week 2.3.15 through 2.10.15 'Red': Candy Kempsey | Essential Life Photography Congrats Cindy Cavanagh | Image 421 for taking Spotlight this week! Thank you Candy for hanging with us and sharing your favorites Both of you are endlessly inspiring <3 Other Favorites Tracey Bos
Thank you Martha Schuster for being our guest this week! We loved doing something a little different here, we're always looking for artists to provide some added inspiration, you surely didn't disappoint. Although given the submissions, I personally think her job was really difficult this week! Check out Martha's beautiful work at i see the moon photography. “You are the gull, Jo, strong and wild, fond of the storm and the wind, flying far out to sea, and happy all alone.” ~Louisa May Alcott week 1.27.15 through 2.3.15 "Choosing a favorite image for this theme was incredibly difficult for me. I found the quote from Louisa May Alcott in all of them. The quote could be interpreted so many ways, whether it be strength, perseverance, solitude, bravery, coping with grief, or just introspective time alone learning about yourself. This image by Wendy Alweyn spoke to me over and over again as I poured through each image. It's strong, yet vulnerable with a feeling of finding your way in the storm. It's just beautiful, as they all were. It's a powerful thing to pair an image with beautiful words. I enjoyed looking at each submission, reading one of my favorite quotes over and over." - Martha Schuster Other Favorites
