THE PEACE OF WILD THINGS When despair for the world grows in me and I wake in the night at the least sound in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be, I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds. I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief. I come into the presence of still water. And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free. — Wendell Berry week 12.17.14 through 12.23.14 "Peace" We will be offline 12/24-12/31 for Christmas break with our families, thank you for a wonderful 2014. "I was beyond excited when I was contacted to be a guest judge; I love everything about the page and the absolute beauty of all the fantastically flawed images. Thank you for all playing along with the theme this week; you are all perfectly flawed! |you laugh at me because I'm different, but I laugh at you because you're all the same|" kelly m photography weeks 12.3.14 through 12.9.14 'Same But Different' Other Favorites
I loved this introspective theme and viewing all of your images. I had a difficult time in choosing favorites, because for me it isn't about competition, it is about the unique voice of the artist and how a theme might be interpreted. Thank you for always sharing. xx weeks 11.19.14 through 12.2.14 'Within' With regards to this theme, I can honestly say there were four images that I just could not choose from, you will see why. I chose one winner, three runners up and the top 10 are below. Spotlight Artist: kelly m photography A beastly elegance in this child's portrait by Kelly Tyack. I kept thinking 'the beast within'.
