"Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;
But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token,
And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, “Lenore?”
This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, “Lenore!”--
Merely this and nothing more."
'The Raven' - Edgar Allen Poe
weeks 10.14 through 10.28
Congrats Thank you to the lovely and inspiring artist that is Kate Densmore for guest judging this month, we loved having you Kate! She is one of our favorite rule breakers and not afraid to show it. I knew that she would be creative in choosing a great theme and she didn't let us down, coming up with this quote has been one of my favorites to date. Congrats to our five winners!
“Think for a minute, darling: in fairy tales it's
always the children who have the fine adventures.
The mothers have to stay at home
and wait for the children to fly in the window.”
― Audrey Niffenegger
week 9.30 through 10.13
Theme: Fine Adventures
The most recent theme 'Stay Gold' was in honor of 'The Gold Hope Project' started by Cynthia Dawson after losing her sweet daughter, Ava, to brain cancer. Participating Photographers can apply here to support fighting families.
Taken for the Gold Hope Project's site:
The Gold Hope Project is a group of international photographers that have come together to photograph families completely free, with the hopes of bringing about awareness of and to raise funds for Pediatric Oncology Research and treatment. More precious than the gold that represents them, children are our future. This year alone, approximately 13,500 parents will have to listen to a doctor tell them, “Your child has cancer.” Can you imagine?
Biweekly Theme: Stay Gold
9.15 through 9.30

You thought that all would last forever
But like the weather
Nothing can ever...and be in time
